Every week I receive messages from couples asking: “What are your package prices?” I understand the instinct — you want a number, a clear price that tells you whether this is affordable. But after 200+ weddings, I’ve learned that fixed packages are the fastest way to a mediocre Lake Como wedding. Here’s why we do it differently, and what a well-designed bespoke package actually includes.
The Problem with Pre-Set Wedding Packages
A “Gold Package at €25,000” sounds reassuring — until you realize it was designed for a generic couple, not for you. Pre-set packages force compromises in three directions: they include services you don’t need (paying for a videographer when you only want photos), they exclude services you do need (no boat transfers included — that’s €2,000 extra), and they standardize the creative elements (same florist, same photographer, same menu for every couple who books the same tier).
On Lake Como specifically, the logistics variation between weddings is enormous. A 20-person elopement at one venue requires fundamentally different planning than a 120-guest three-day celebration across four locations. Packaging them into the same tier produces either overcharging for the small wedding or underdelivering for the large one.
